"When you think about a great place to train as a helicopter pilot Coast Mountain Helicopters, Campbell River and Vancouver Island are, in my opinion, a very good combination: The Island is a very versatile backyard to train in various situations, Campbell River is a beautiful place to be (what a great outdoors!) and last, but not least, I particularly enjoyed the CMH training unit. Jean-Marc and Sheena manage to be very flexible in their organisation (to cope with the weather, for instance!), available and I found interesting their complimentary teaching approach for both groundschool classes and flying sessions. Bilingualism is also an asset that can help!

It is a small school which allows them to really focus on everybody's needs and bring you to the top. More than flying, I learned so many things from their experience in this industry and their technical skills. Campbell River is a really good place to train, as you fly over the ocean as well as over the top of mountains and you have to learn how to deal with the coastal weather, which is tricky sometimes! The advanced training is really good: long lining, mountain flying, pads... All those things make you ready to work in the helicopter industry. "This Training was really awesome! Atmosphere was both convivial and professionnal. Jean-Marc and Sheena brought me their great experience about helicopter industry, for practice and theory. Campbell River Airport is a good field to begin radio communication, not too small, not too big. Especially if you learn English. More over, I have tried my favorite exercise during this training: Mountain Flying and Longlining! It was amazing! And it's good experience to get your first job.
