Helicopter Pilot Training

Here at the Campbell River airport your flight training begins as soon as the blades are turning! The airport offers an ideal and safe location to practice traffic, radio and emergency procedures. Within five minutes of the airport you will find yourself in a real operational environment surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, various lakes and endless mountain ranges.

Our flight instructors have been highly active in the helicopter industry as well as flight training for well over 20 years.  They are committed to bringing the highest level of training to prepare you for your first job as a commercial pilot.

Getting Started

You do not need an academic background to get started. All that is required is a Transport Canada Category 1 Aviation medical, perseverance, determination and a professional attitude. If your goal is attaining a Commercial license the training will normally take four months of full time study. The course outlines and cost of each is detailed on the individual pages to the left.
